Eriksson names unchanged side

Sven Goran Eriksson will use the same eleven players against Albania that destroyed Germany 5-1. As expected, he announced that his team for Wednesday will be unchanged, adding consistency to the skill and confidence that is currently flowing through England.

The one change to the squad is the loss of Nigel Martyn to a knee injury; he will be replaced by Ian Walker.

Sven Goran Eriksson has warned his side of the dangers of complacency.

'You can't try to live on past results - otherwise you'll wake up one day with a big surprise.'

However, his expectation, even excitement, surrounding the England squad shows itself when he talks of his side's potential.

'I think that England today has a very good team and even better for the future, so it will be very nice to reach the World Cup Finals.'

A win against Albania on Wednesday will take England to the brink of the World Cup Finals in 2002; the rest of the world will be watching.
