South Korea shock Italy
South Korea have won a pulsating game against Italy 2-1, with the golden goal coming from Ahn Jung-Hwan, who had earlier missed a penalty.
Christian Vieri had opened the scoring for the Italians, but South Korea pulled one back through Seol Ki-Hyeon who scored in the dying seconds of normal time. Francesco Totti received a second yellow for diving, and his remaining team-mates struggled against the dynamic Koreans.
The game will go down as one of the tournament's biggest ever upsets, echoing the result in 1966 when Italy lost 1-0 to North Korea.
South Korea will now play Spain in the quarter-finals, while Italy will join other pre-tournament favourites Argentina and France on the plane home.
