England's injuries healing well

Kieron Dyer is recovering well from the knee that could have shattered his World Cup dreams, and Sven-Goran Eriksson is confident that David Beckham will start against Sweden in the first game.

The signs are encouraging for an England squad that at one point appeared decimated by a spate of unlucky injuries.

David Seaman, Ashley Cole and Nicky Butt have all returned to training after more minor problems.

For both Beckham and Dyer the next couple of days are crucial, as they strive to join the rest of the squad with their preparations.
