Japan name World Cup squad
There are two surprises in the Japanese World Cup squad, named by their French manager Philippe Troussier. He has decided to pick the experienced striker Masashi Nakayama, who has scored Japan's only ever goal in the World Cup Finals.
The defender Yutaka Akita was also unexpectedly chosen ahead of Yasuhiro Hato. The players will now have to live up the the huge expectation that all home nations face, to come through a tough group including Belgium and Russia.
