Baggio likely to be ignored

Despite huge support from the public for Baggio, Italian manager Giovanni Trapattoni has always expressed concerns over the fitness of the Divine Ponytail. However, the Gazzetta dello Sport does claim that 36 year old Angelo Di Livio will be in the squad.

Baggio had hoped that that although his age and injury problems were against him, his undeniable talent would take him to his fourth World Cup finals.

He recently recovered from a long term injury, and scored a brace on his return to Serie A.
