World Cup 2002 Stadiums - Jeonju

The Jeonju World Cup Stadium is not only the biggest of the ten new South Korean stadia, but perhaps the most beautiful.

The four concave roof sections hang from suspension cables that represent the twelve strings of a traditional Gaya harp. A river was left in place during construction, and now gracefully loops around the venue.
